I was born and raised in Ngaaruawaahia and was fortunate to have been raised by my grandparents and extended whānau. I am passionate about my Marae, culture and language. I am a second language learner of Te Reo Maaori and I am finding the journey both challenging and fulfiling. Determined for Te Reo Maaori to be the first language for my tamariki I committed to supporting our 5 tamariki through Kohanga Reo, Kura Kaupapa Maaori and into Wharekura. Suffice to say I am a very proud Maamaa of 5 tamariki who are confident in Te Reo me oona Tikanga!

I Enjoy all sport, more of a social participant and spectator these days, and especially following my tamariki who are well involved in their respective sporting codes. Have a keen interest for Maaori development in sport, would love to see more Maaori achieving and maintaining success at the greatest pinnacle of their chosen sport, this includes athletes, coaches, managers, trainers, administrators and governance.

Haakari Haakinakina  is always my highlight to kickstart the weekend. I look forward to the robust discussions, debate and especially the banter that my co-host JD and I engage in, it makes for a healthy, fun and enjoyable time.

With over 15 years of experience with Radio Tainui and the sports show, it has been my absolute pleasure. I enjoy all sports, whether it is locally, regionally, nationally or internationally. Rugby league, however, would have to rate as my favorite code, especially given the huge local passion and history of rugby league throughout our Waikato rohe; it really is a perfect fit for me.

I thoroughly look forward to our Saturday morning time slot and bringing the latest news, views and reviews to our lovely listeners. I acknowledge my co-host Heremaia Samson aka Meeks, and his contribution to the show, his technical skills also despite him supporting the other blokes, the Queensland maroons state of origin team.

Like always it is my absolute pleasure to korero sport.

Mum to Waiaria (my baby who plays basketball in the US at college………yes defs height from her mama :-)) enjoy being a Trustee for Tainui FM firstly well, everybody has always, once in their life, wanted to be radio dj right but since that gig never worked for me, this is the very next best thing. Tainui FM has such a rich history of the historical recordings of our precious tupuna so hugely valuable as a resource and also because music makes people happy, I love that!
