Te Reo Aratau

“Ki te kotahi te kaakaho ka whati, ki te kaapuia, e kore e whati.”

 Purpose: To strengthen knowledge and practice of Reo and Tikanga and connection to te waka o Tainui.

Te Reo Aratau is a series of waananga designed for taiohi to advance their use of te reo Maaori and practice of Waikato tikanga.This programme caters for advanced speakers of te reo Maaori.

To enrol, you must be registered to one of our 68 Raupatu marae and be 15 – 18 years of age.

There is no cost to participate in this programme.

Te Reo Aratau will be delivered over 4 x 4-day waananga and will be held at marae within Tainui, over the following dates:

• Monday 16 – Thursday 19 April 2018
• Friday 01 – Monday 04 June 2018
• Monday 09 – Thursday 12 July 2018
• Tuesday 09 – Friday 12 October 2018
